About Bayfield Heritage Tours

We are a family owned business, founded in 2003 by Virginia Hirsch, a professional educator, storyteller and speaker. Her love of Bayfield and its history inspires these walks thru historic Bayfield.

Over the years we have added many new walks and several additional guides. A workshop called "The Art and Business of Walking Storytelling" is available to individuals and organizations interested in starting or improving their own walking tours.

  Our Weather Policy

We walk in all weather conditions except tornados, active electrical storms and severe high winds. If we cancel a walk we will issue a refund or a rain check Some umbrellas are available.

Safe Walking

Walks include up and down hills, sometimes on uneven roads or sidewalks. Wear shoes with good grip, low heels and good fastenings. Your guide will be glad to accommodate you if you need a slower pace. Prohibited: No smoking, concealed weapons, nor recording devices. Camera welcome but no flash.
