SVEN'S ARCHITECT-TOUR

Wachsmuth House

From log cabins to elegant Victorians, cowsheds to mansions, Bayfield's architecture reflects not only the passing centuries but also the lives of the people who made it their home. Built from Wisconsin's great white pine forest and Lake Superior brownstone, Bayfield's buildings tell a fascinating story of pioneers, adventurers, lumberjacks, fishermen, bankers, merchants and frontier lawmakers. A sturdy mix of peoples including East Coast Yankees, French voyagers, Native American and immigrants from many lands left their stamp on the land.

Your guide, Sven, has many an entertaining tale to tell on your walk thru town. Cameras are welcome.
