Advance Purchase is RECOMMENDED for all Walks

How to make a Reservation:

  • When you purchase by mail or call us with a credit card you automatically have a reservation
  • When you purchase from a local vendor, please call 715-779-0299 to tell us which walk you are taking

Why make a Reservation?

  • You are guaranteed a place on the walk of your choice
  • You get reduced prices for tickets

What if I just show up?

  • We will accommodate you if space permits
  • You will pay FULL price and we only accept cash or checks on site

Three easy ways to buy tickets & SAVE up to $2.50 per person:

  • 1. In person at a local vendor:
    • Bayfield Chamber of Commerce: 42 South Broad Street, Bayfield
    • Ashland Chamber of Commerce, 1716 Lake Shore Drive West, Ashland
    • Keeper of the Light, 19 Front Street, Bayfield
    • Old Rittenhouse Inn: 301 Rittenhouse Avenue, Bayfield
    • Seagull Bay Motel: 327 S. 7th Street, Bayfield
    • Winfield Inn and Gardens: 225 E Lynde Avenue, Bayfield
    • Tickets purchased from these locations are cash or check only.
    • Tickets you purchase from a local vendor can be applied to any of the walks
    • (just be sure to call 715-779-0299 and place your reservation)
  • 2. By mail with a check or money order payable to Bayfield Heritage Tours. Mail to P. O. Box 986, Bayfield, WI 54814. No tickets will be mailed unless you enclose a SASE. Your guide will have you listed in their reservation book for the number of adult and child reservations you ordered. Please allow turnaround of 10 days if we are mailing tickets to you.
  • 3. With a Visa or Mastercard over the telephone. Call us at 715-779-0299. If we are not able to answer the phone, please leave your name and number and best time to call back. You will have a reservation once we have accepted your credit card information. If you can't reach us for same day tours please visit one of our vendors in Bayfield or Ashland. The credit card option is available only thru the end of September. There is a charge per order for credit card processing.

Tickets purchased from your guide are $15.00 ages 13 and up; $10 ages 7 to 12; ages 6 and under are free.

SAVE: Tickets purchased from a local vendor or by mail are $12.50 for ages 13 and up; $8.00 for ages 7 to 12; ages 6 and under are always free.

Weather: We do not cancel walks except for hazardous weather conditions: tornados, active electrical storms and severe high winds. In the event we cancel a walk, purchasers of advance tickets can arrange for a refund. If hazardous weather conditions develop while a tour is in progress which leads to a termination of the walk, guests will receive a voucher for a future walk which is good for two years. Some umbrellas are available from the guide.

Safe Walking: Walks include up hills and down hills, sometimes on uneven sidewalks or roads. We suggest wearing appropriate footwear including soles with good grip, low heels and secure fastenings. Your guide will be glad to accommodate you if you need a slower pace.

Dogs on leases can be accommodated if there are no objections from other tour guests. Many dogs have successfully taken the walk and recorded positive reviews!

Prohibited: No smoking, no concealed weapons and no recording devices. Cameras are welcome and you are encouraged to share your photos with us via e-mail at bayfieldtours@earthlink.net. We ask that you do not use flash as it destroys night vision and creates a walking hazard.
