Sven's Architect Tour

From log cabins to elegant mansions, cow sheds to fine civic buildings, Bayfield's architecture reflects not only the passing centuries but also the lives of the people who made it their home.
 
Built from Wisconsin's great white pine forest and Lake Superior brownstone, Bayfield's buildings tell a fascinating story of pioneers, adventurers, lumberjacks, fishermen, bankers, merchants and frontier lawmakers. Your guide, Sven, has many an entertaining tale to share on your walk.

  2013 Tours are conducted:

• Tuesdays from June 4 thru Sept. 4 (except July 2) at 6:30pm in June and July, 6pm in August & 5:30pm in September.
• Fridays at 2pm from June 6 thru September 12 (except July 4)
• Meet outside the Bayfield Chamber on Broad Street & Manypenny Ave. ten minutes before the start of the walk. The walk is about one mile and lasts about 80 minutes. Good shoes & cameras recommended. See map.
