Dying to Get In-Cemetery Walk

Join us for an afternoon walk thru Bayfield's historic cemetery. We will explore cemetery traditions and lore, Victorian death customs and meet Bayfield pioneers.

See the site of the tragedy that washed away graves and sent coffins floating in the lake. Read heart-breaking poetry on the graves of young children, tributes to Civil War veterans, and beloved wives. View examples of tomb stone art and design over the past 150 years.

This is the same walk featured in the PBS TV John McGivern special on Bayfield.

Sponsored in part by the Bayfield Chamber
